Golf Mentality uses account and golf profile data to provide tournament registration, digital scorecards, live scoring, notifications, player services, and related tournament administration.

Data We Use

We may collect and store the following data when you use the app:

• Profile details such as name, club, handicap, gender, nationality, phone number, email address, profile photo, and player registration number.
• Account identifiers such as Firebase user ID and player registration number.
• Notification preferences, app settings, and push notification tokens.
• Tournament and scoring data such as entries, draw assignments, tee times, scorecards, match play status, leaderboard results, rankings, and audit data.
• Customer support or contact-change request data when you contact us or request help.

How We Use Data

We use this data for app functionality, including authentication, tournament registration, player profile management, digital scoring, live leaderboards, referee and tournament workflows, notifications, support, and account security.

Tracking and Advertising

Golf Mentality does not use your data to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. We do not sell your personal data to data brokers and we do not use third-party advertising networks in the app.

Location

The app may request location permission for golf-distance features such as calculating distance to greens or hazards. In the current app, user location is used on the device for app functionality and is not stored as user location history on our servers.

Photos

If you choose to add a profile photo, the app may access your camera or photo library and store the selected profile photo for your player profile.

Notifications

Push notification tokens are used only to send selected Golf Mentality notification categories, such as tournament reminders, draw updates, scorecard reminders, match play updates, and results notifications. You can control notification categories from Settings.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account from Privacy & Account in the app. When you delete your account, we delete your login, private profile data, contact details, device tokens, app preferences, and profile photo.

Your name, tournament entries, scorecards, rankings, and published results may remain available in previous tournaments for event integrity, historical scoring, and tournament recordkeeping.

Data Sharing

We use Firebase and related service providers to operate authentication, database, storage, notifications, and hosting. We use SendGrid or a similar email provider to send account and support emails. These providers process data only as needed to operate the service.
